The Club is building a new 00 scale layout for its own exhibitions and hopefully to go out on the exhibition circuit. It is 15 feet long by 2 feet wide and is wired for d.c. and DCC operation. It is set in a Cornish location and represents the traditional dries associated with the china clay industry. The time period is the transition from steam to diesel haulage so some steam and early diesels are employed. The basic layout and scenery has been completed, leaving the detailing of the scenery and some electrical work to be finished. One photo shows the dries with a rake of covered wagons while the other shows the route in from the quarry and a siding to a store.
